Data Harmony for Federal Libraries
Data Harmony’s internet subscription service allows the retrieval and metadata tagging of information using Data Harmony taxonomies and rule bases. Customers can retrieve the full thesaurus record from the digital thesaurus database underlying each of the individual taxonomies. The Data Harmony taxonomy management tools become a gateway to the controlled vocabulary (thesaurus) and automated indexing rules (rule base) of your choice via the internet, hosted on Access Innovations' servers.
The simple subscription option allows you to sign up for the service you need and log on to the ready-made or customized thesaurus of your choice. Choose, by individual user logon, to
- View only
- Customize as needed
- Share with other users
- Integrate (via an ASP call or "data hook") with your content production or content management systems

Thesaurus Master™ to create, maintain, and use a list of terms unique to your project(s) as a thesaurus, including- Related Terms that can be used to enhance users’ searches
- Alternate Terms used by searchers to find the concepts represented in your collection
- Term Details documenting origin, scope, facet, or other information about terms included in your list
- A simple rule base for each thesaurus that enables machine aided indexing. This rule base can be expanded and enhanced as needed to improve indexing performance – by you or if you prefer, by our experience staff.
