WebThes™
Open Thesaurus Master in your web browser with WebThes.
WebThes is a fully functional Thesaurus Master interface* delivered as a Java applet running inside any of the popular web browsers. WebThes allows you to share your thesaurus at someone else's office or with remote colleagues without installing Thesaurus Master UI or opening a communication port in your corporate firewall.
The interface requires a login for project, username, and password. That means that permissions can be granted by the project administrator. Allow as much ability to add, change, and delete terms as you wish—ReadOnly, Add Candidate Terms, Read/Write within a particular branch, Full Read/Write—all of these permission levels are available in Thesaurus Master.
Additions and changes made to your thesaurus are reflected in WebThes, in both Thesaurus Overview and the Term Record panels.
See a demonstration of WebThes here. Use the thesaurus name "DHProject" and the username "dhuser" and the password "dhuser" (all lowercase). DHProject is our 130-term demonstration thesaurus.
WebThes runs as a Tomcat web service on your web server—or on ours, if you would like us to host it for you. It requires that the Enterprise Thesaurus Master or MAIstro server be running on your web server as well as your thesaurus project.
* The standard version of WebThes has Export and Print functions disabled to protect your intellectual property. All other Thesaurus Master functions are available.
