Search Harmony
Search Harmony is a collection of search enhancements that improve information retrieval.
Search Harmony features:
- Provides a tree, or visual hierarchy, of subject terms from your thesaurus that allows users to drill down in the branch of interest until the desired concept is found
- Clicking on the appropriate term in the hierarchy returns all documents indexed with that term
- Offers suggestions, based on your taxonomy terms, when you type in the search text box
- The Search Returns page allows you to expand or target your search using related terms and narrower terms from your thesaurus
- Enables refinement of a search by addition of a second search term that is auto suggested
- Provides a free text search option for both initial search and search refinement in the event a thesaurus term is not exact
- Records a history of text searches in the search log
- Offers a search option to users who wish to enter a phrase or sentence on which MAIQuery operates to locate an appropriate thesaurus term and launch a search
