Data Harmony’s Software as a Service (SaaS) is an internet subscription service for the management of your controlled vocabulary (thesaurus) and automated indexing rules (rule base) that uses our proven Data Harmony taxonomy tools.

You can do metadata tagging of items that you want to add to your collection right from your desktop. We load your thesaurus term list into our software on our secure server and you can access it from any machine with an internet connection. (Or use one of our ready-made taxonomies for a jump start for your project.) These popular taxonomy tools are available through the internet for use with standard fields or customized to suit your unique needs.

The simple SaaS option allows you to sign up for the modules you need and log on to the tools of your choice. A permission system allows access by user to:

View only
Add conditionally
Add and change existing terms and rules
Administer your project:

Customize to your needs
Add fields for additional data
Share with a larger group of users

Additionally, modules can be Integrated using an ASP call (data hook) from systems or workflows within your current content creation, production, or management system.

Related Terms that can be used to enhance users’ searches
Alternate Terms used by searchers to find the concepts represented in your collection
Term Details that document origin, scope, facet, or other information about terms included in your list

Machine Aided Indexer (M.A.I.) which contains:

A simple rule base for each thesaurus that enables machine aided indexing. This rule base can be expanded and enhanced as needed to improve indexing performance—by you or if you prefer, by our experienced staff.
The Concept Extractor to associate the right terms from your thesaurus to the content you are indexing, which significantly improves later search results
A Statistics Package to assist in improving the effectiveness of the rule base in working with your specific content
