The new features included in the 3.4 release are below. The short description indicates the functions. A full description is in the revised documentation.

  • Windows Launcher – to make behind the scenes process invisible and not take up space on your task bar
  • Intro Frame with dropdown list of all projects on a specific server – for fewer post-it note cheat sheets. These combined listings show available thesauri, rule bases and projects in a drop down list.
  • Admin module alphabetized projects list – easier to find your project on the list
  • XIS can be customized to allow multiple rule bases.
  • TM export - file extension will be assigned automatically.
  • Visible Text Field - displays term record notes in constantly visible form
  • Right Click menu - Thesaurus Master and MAI menu options grouped by functionality
  • Rule Base export - XML file format
  • Thesaurus Update Report - provides summary and specifics on terms added, deleted, and changed
  • Font driver plug-in capability
  • Multilingual display for thesauri, with the top level duplicated in other languages
  • New XIS Menu Bar - facilitates navigation in search sets allowing File, Get Record and Search Set access.
  • Editable stopwords list for MAI – add words appearing in your content that should be disregarded
  • ThesViewer and webTM to view and interact with your thesaurus over the internet
  • Batch processing of documents

There are now two versions of the Data Harmony Software.

  1. Data Harmony™ 3.4.1 Professional Edition Fully supports ISO 8859-1 character encoding which covers most characters, including diacriticals used in Western Europe and the Americas.
  2. Data Harmony™ 3.5.1 International Edition Provides full Unicode support, UTF-8, Multiple language support, Multilingual display
