Albuquerque, New Mexico (June 4, 2007) – Access Innovations, Inc. (Access), a leader in the data management industry, has been chosen to perform the XML conversion of Accessible Archives, Inc.’s online databases.
Accessible Archives publishes electronic full-text searchable historical databases containing primary source materials from 18th and 19th century American newspapers, periodicals and county histories. Realizing the necessity to update its online resources by converting them to an XML format – the industry standard – Accessible Archives selected Access for the task. Utilizing its DataHarmony suite of software products and its internal staff, Access is converting some 150,000 pages of text – more than a gigabyte of information – from HTML Word to XML in conformance with a proprietary XML DTD.
